How to make smoked salmon dip

Starting off with a homemade Smoked Salmon Dip Recipe, surrounded by your favorite foods that complement salmon.

Making Smoked Salmon Dip is easy! If you’ve been gifted a box of smoked salmon (or you can buy it in the store), add this to the base dip.

Use a small food processor to make this dip.

With a fork, flake the smoked salmon and add it to the dip! So good!

Peppers, carrots, salami, crackers, and Castelvetrano olives.

With this kind of appetizer, everyone can find their favorite “bite.”

Set the table

This year, I set a table with candles I removed from our mantle, with pomegranates and mix-and-matched gingham napkins.

The rule for centerpiece height is to not have it too tall, so that guests can’t look across and make eye contact. What I love about tapered candles is, you hardly know they are there.

But they add such a warm effect.

Having cooked a prime rib, these potatoes, and our guests brought a giant green salad, we were ready to dig in.

But first … one of the things we love is to sit together with a glass of wine, and enjoy a few delicious bites before we come to the table.

In a way, we like to stretch the night out.

Give the gift of hosting to your guests

When you think of the time involved in cooking a large meal, all the love and effort (hand raised!), it really is a gift that you give your guests. But in return, it’s a gift that they give to us, when they come unhurried, ready to relax, they bring a nice bottle of wine, we sit and talk … for hours.

Let’s just say, in setting the table, and putting love into the evening, we like to make it count.

So this year, I hope you do the same. If not for Christmas, maybe on New Year’s Eve, or at a lovely winter dinner party.
